I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of

His Majesty's Treasury to refer to Treasury etter of the

20th May 1933, in reply to Colonial Office letter

(13758/33) of the 6th April 1933, relative to the

question of the Reference of the Hong-Kong Piracy case,

Rex v. Chung Tam Kwong and others, to the Judicial

Committee of the Privy Council.

I am to request you to inform Secretary

Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister that the disbursements

incurred by the Treasury Solicitor in connection with the

reference, details of which are set out in the

accompanying account, amount to £1,048.13.6., and I am

to ask that the necessary steps may be taken to secure

that half this sum, namely 2524.6.9. may be transferred

to the Vote for Law Charges from the funds of the

bokay and. to A. Kong (20)
